General Sales Conditions
1. Applicability
These conditions apply to all orders placed with TELA. By placing an order, the Customer accepts these terms in full. Any conflicting terms proposed by the Customer are excluded unless agreed in writing by TELA.
2. Pricing and Orders
All orders are invoiced in US dollars at the rate in effect on the date of the order. Prices are confirmed in the order acknowledgment. Custom and made-to-order items are entered into production only upon receipt of full payment and a signed order confirmation. A variation of plus or minus 10% in delivered quantity is standard for made-to-order production.
3. Payment
Full payment is required to confirm all orders. TELA does not extend credit terms unless agreed in writing in advance. For new accounts, all orders are issued on a proforma basis.
4. Delivery
Delivery dates provided by TELA are estimates and do not constitute a guarantee. All goods are transported at the Customer's risk and cost. TELA reserves the right to make partial deliveries, each invoiced separately under the agreed conditions.
5. Product Characteristics
As handwoven textiles, TELA fabrics may vary slightly between production runs in colour, texture, and width. These variations are an inherent quality of handmade production and are not grounds for complaint. Customers are advised to request samples before placing large orders and to order sufficient quantity for their project in a single purchase. TELA cannot guarantee consistency between dye lots or woven batches.
6. Acceptance of Goods
Customers must inspect goods upon delivery and submit any complaints in writing within 8 days of receipt. No claims will be accepted after this period, after cutting, or after use. The liability of TELA is limited to the value of the goods invoiced.
7. Return of Products
Orders are typically fulfilled and dispatched within 6 to 8 weeks of payment. Customers wishing to return products must contact TELA within one month of the invoice date, which in all cases extends beyond the expected delivery window. No return will be accepted without prior written authorization from TELA. Upon receipt of authorized returned goods, credit notes are issued within 14 business days.

If the cause of the return is not attributable to TELA, a restocking fee of 20% will be applied to the credit note issued upon receipt of the returned goods. Products must be returned in their original condition, with shipping costs prepaid by the Customer. If returned products are received in damaged condition, a reduction of up to 50% may be applied to the credit note. Credit notes will not be issued without the return form included with the shipment. TELA does not accept returns on custom or made-to-order products.
8. Force Majeure
TELA shall not be liable for delays or failures in delivery caused by events outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, labour disputes, or other force majeure events. In such cases, TELA will notify the Customer and fulfil the order as soon as conditions allow.
